There can be many reasons why you may wish to download a Windows 7 copy for free (legally). May be you lost the DVD that came with your PC or damaged it, and now you don’t want to spend money on a new copy (it’s not that cheap either).

You can easily download Windows 7 ISO image for free and legally right from the Microsoft website. However, you will need to provide the Product key of the Windows that came with your PC or your purchased.

If you are looking to get Windows 7 and its Product key for FREE, then we are sorry to say, it is impossible to get it Legally. Although, we do have a tiny trick that should help fulfill your appetite temporarily (will discuss later in the article).

Method #1: Download Windows 7 Legally from Microsoft Software Recovery

You can find Windows 7 for free everywhere on the internet and it can be downloaded without any hassle or special requirements. However, these sources are completely illegal and not reliable. There can be many issues with these copies of Windows 7, they might even have malware built right inside!

When you purchase Windows, you don’t actually pay for the Windows itself. You are actually paying for the Product Key which is used to activate the Windows. If you don’t activate your copy of Windows then after the trial period it will not work properly, making it almost impossible to benefit from it. This is why Microsoft doesn’t mind people downloading its Windows 7 operating system for free, as it is almost useless after the trial period without the product key.

So, if you still have the product key, then downloading Windows 7 for free is not really an issue. You can download your Windows 7 ISO image from the Microsoft Software Recovery site by providing your valid product key.

Just visit the Microsoft Software Recovery website and follow three simple instructions to download the Windows 7 ISO image. You will have to provide the Product key that came with your original Windows 7. If you have lost your Product key, then don’t worry, there are still many ways to recover it.

Once the ISO image is downloaded, you will need to burn it to an external drive, such as CD, DVD or USB drive. You will also require an ISO Burning software to burn the ISO image to an external drive.

Now, you can just use the external drive on which you burned the ISO image and boot your PC with it to install Windows 7.

Get a Replacement Disc

If for some reason the above mentioned method didn’t work for you, then you can also get a replacement disc (in most cases for Free). This is another legal way of getting your hands on Windows 7, but it might not be as simple as the above process.

If your Windows 7 came with your PC, then you will have to contact the Manufacturer of your PC to send the replacement disc. They might charge a tiny fee for the replacement, but it is definitely worth it instead of getting into illegal methods or buying a new one.

If you bought Windows 7 separately, then you will have to contact Microsoft Supplemental Parts team to get the replacement disc. The customer representative will let you know if there are any fees or charges in the process of replacement.

Extend the Free Trial for 360 days

If you have never purchased Windows 7 and are looking to get your hands on Windows 7 and its product key for free and legally, then you can’t do that. However, as we promised above, we do know a trick that should help you use Windows 7 for almost a year without paying a penny.

When you install Windows 7 by any means, you are prompted to provide a valid product key to activate the Windows. But you also have the option to skip the prompt and access Windows 7 30 day Trial version.

Window 7 Update Free Installation Software

The trial version will come with all the features, but when it will expire your Windows will not work properly (although it will still turn on). However, there is a way to extend the trial period by 30 more days using slmgr -rearm command, which has been added by Microsoft to extend the trial period. You can use the slmgr -rearm command up to 3 times, which means you effectively get total 120 days out of your Windows 7 trial.

Now, you can also make another tweak that will let you use the slmgr -rearm command up to 8 times. This means you get to use Windows 7 Trial for up to 240 more days and 240+120 = 360 days, that is almost a year. If you are okay with using slmgr -rearm command after every 30 days, then you can easily use Windows 7 for free with all the features for almost a year.

Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t offer a Windows 7 trial anymore, so you will have to get Windows 7 by any other mean, such as from a friend’s DVD.

How to Use slmgr -rearm Command

Just press Windows+R buttons to open “Run”, you can also open it from the Start menu. In the “Run” window type “cmd” and click on “OK”.

This will open “Command Prompt”, just type slmgr -rearm or copy paste it in the Command Prompt (Ctrl+V shortcut for “Paste” will not work in Command prompt, you will have to right click and select “Paste” from the context menu).

Now press enter and after a short delay you will be prompted to restart your computer (nothing will happen during the delay, so don’t be disappointed). Once restarted the trial period will reset to 30 days.

Note: To take full advantage, make sure you go through the process when there is only 1 day left before the trial expires. If you do it before, the trial period will reset and you will not receive the remaining days of previous 30 day trial period.

For this Trick, you will have to tweak the Windows registry. Press Windows+R button to open “Run” just like we did above. This time type “regedit” in the blank field and click on “OK”.

In “SoftwareProtectionPlatform”, you will see an option of “SkipRearm”, double click on it.

The UAV ARC is designed to address distance and range-related issues associated with drone deliveries by acting as a drone charger. Like Envisions EV ARC, the UAV ARC is will be completely off-grid and equipped with batteries. This allows for the product to be much more scalable, as it doesn’t require connection to a utility company to operate. This “off grid” capability allows the chargers to be placed anywhere that drone fleets can access and recharge, including remote areas or even out at sea.

The UAV ARC will not only be used for charging drone fleets but also to gather intelligence about the health of the solar drones so they can report performance information back to the owners. The UAV ARC is also expected to come with similar warranties to their existing products, which include manufacturer warranties for the panels, batteries, the inverter, and the structure itself.

11. There should be a very small amount of space between the jam nut and rail (smaller the better, but it is what it is--you cannot change this gap); tighten the jam nut against the rail system while maintaining the orientation of the rail
12. Tighten the set screw on the bottom of the rail
13. Reinstall flash hider or muzzle device

Review:
The good:
This system will give you the efficiencies of any free float system, improved accuracy and accessorization (word?). The rail sections are movable/removable.
This allows you to place accessories where you'd like, but also allows you to eliminate the unnecessary weight associated with a full 4 rail system.
It looks badass (IMO.) It is sub $150 in price. It is very simple to install with the proper tools. No reviews to go on, but it feels like this rail is very solid and will stand up to whatever I or any average shooter will ever throw at it. Monolithic top rail (look--not true) of more expensive systems.
The bad:
This rail is noticeably heavier than basic plastic, or high-end rail systems. Not an overwhelming weight, but my system is 1.75 lbs heavier with this rail than it was with the old M16 style guard and A1 sight post. Plastic does not get nearly as hot as black aluminum. When left in the sun/heat--if you shoot outside in the sun, you already know--your black metal rifle is going to get hot. This aluminum rail will get a lot hotter than the basic plastic rails will. Too many screws; while there are some positives of the rail sections being removable, AND you can somewhat remedy this with some Loctite, less moving parts is usually better in my experience. There are really no other reviews out there. While my experience with this handgard is very limited, I do not know how well this will hold up in the long run.
Overview:
I would recommend this for any backup rifle, a strict target shooting rifle, or a cheap first free-float system. If you decide you do not like it, you're only out $130, and you can resell the item for pretty close to that amount easily. For a home I'd stick to the basic handguard to keep down weight. If you're going to be running through courses or hauling this around on your back for hours at a time, get something lighter or keep the plastic handguard. An extra 2 lbs can make more of a difference than you might think if you haven't experienced carrying something like this around all day.

An anonymous reader who once worked installing as an installer for Lowe’s shared some very helpful advice with us: you probably shouldn’t go to a big-box store for your deck-building and window-installing needs. Why is that? Let him count the ways.

For 8 months I worked as a Lowe’s Installed Sales Installers. I installed everything; decks, fencing, roofs, gutters, siding, windows and doors. I worked with 10 Project Specialist Exteriors (PSE) during my time with Lowe’s. I’d like to share my experience as a warning against using Lowe’s or as a suggestion to use Lowe’s: your choice.

2. Their employees don’t know anything about the products they sell. I arrived to install a roof and found pallets of shingles, vents, ice and water shield etc. I called the installed sales office and asked where the felt paper was, the department manager asked if I could start the roof today and finish tomorrow once they could get the felt paper delivered. No! the felt paper goes under the shingles.

3. Their employees don’t understand construction. On one occasion we started a fence project and hit a unmarked utility line, the electric and cable company came out told the customer the line was improperly marked and repaired it (free of charge). We finished the fence and billed the store.

A week later I called to check on my payment, The Installed Sales Manager told me there wasn’t any labor money left to pay the invoice. When I asked why she explained the refunded the entire labor amount to the customer since we hit her cable and electrical line. I explained that a marking means there is a line within 4 inches the lines we hit were 7 inches from the marking so we aren’t liable. She responded “oh, what can you do to help us?” I told to take it up with the utility company and that my full invoice needed paid since I wasn’t at fault and didn’t refund the money.

They refunded the customer about $1,800 and paid us our full bill. I estimate they lost $1,250 on the job. Comcast free installation 2015.

4. Installers aren’t allowed to paint, touch up, color, etc. anything. If I have to take your trim off of get your front door installed we won’t paint the new piece. I can install new trim and gutter board but cannot paint it. I can cut siding but cannot paint or seal the joints.

5. You are at the mercy of their overbooked delivery schedule. Projects routinely ran over because the stores overbooked deliveries and only made partial deliveries. I needed 115 sheets of OSB on a roof job they store told me and the customer it would be 2 days for delivery. This is after the shingles are torn off and the roof is sitting exposed with gaping holes in it. We eventually got the materials that day but it caused the project to run long. They refunded the customer $350.

6. The store is at the mercy of the complaint line. We installed a great looking fence but the customer complained knowing he could get a refund (he had used Lowe’s on 4 previous projects and had received a total of $3,500 in refunds to date). We rebuilt both gates twice and 75 feet of fencing. When a customer calls the complaint line the store is obligated to make the customer happy which always involved a refund. I ended up billing Lowe’s $1,250 for extra labor and they refunded the customer $1,000 since the project took 8 extra weeks (special order materials). The lost about $1,500 on the job.

Moral of the story. If you want a smooth process don’t use Lowe’s. If you want to get a big refund, use Lowe’s.
